A stem cell transplant infuses healthy blood-forming stem cells into the body. Chemotherapy is also one of the anticancer drugs designed to interfere with and halt the growth of cancer cells in the body. Cancer cells are destroyed and relieve pain or discomfort by Radiation therapy.It may even be given before a stem cell transplant.
