Cancer Screening & Chemotherapy

Cancer screening aims to find cancer before symptoms appear. This may involve blood tests, urine tests, DNA tests other tests, or medical imaging. The benefits of screening in terms of cancer prevention, early detection and future treatment should be weighed against any harms. Different varieties of cancer screening procedures have completely different risks, but sensible tests share some characteristics. If a test detects cancer, then that test result should conjointly result in choices for treatment. Chemotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses one or more anti-cancer drugs as part of a standardized chemotherapy regimen. Chemotherapy could also be given with curative intent, or it should aim to prolong life or to reduce symptoms.
